As a COTA with Muir Home Health, you will have the opportunity to advance your career while receiving strong compensation and excellent benefits.BenefitsCompetitive compensationHealth, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance401(k) plan with generous company matchCritical illness benefitPaid time offEmployee assistance programPay Range: $40.00 - $50.00/hrJob Type: Full Time, Part Time, Per DiemJob SummaryThe COTA performs only those services planned, delegated, and supervised by the registered Occupational Therapist.Duties and ResponsibilitiesParticipate in the ongoing evaluation of patient's functional statusParticipate in the ongoing evaluation of the home environment for hazards or barriers to more independent livingParticipate in teaching new skills or retraining patients in once familiar daily activities that have been lost due to illness or injuryMaintain appropriate clinical records, clinical notes, and reports to the registered occupational therapist any changes in the patient's conditionSubmit clinical documentationFollow treatment program and goals for improved patient functionDocument patient's response to treatment plan and progress toward established goalsMaintain contact/communication with other personnel involved in the patient's care to promote coordinated, efficient careIdentify patient and family/caregiver needs for other home care servicesConsult with the supervising registered occupational therapist and assists with necessary referralsParticipate in instructing patient's family/caregiver and other Organization health care personnel in patient's treatment regimeJob RequirementsValid California Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant licenseMaintain a current CPR certification1+ Years of clinical experience as a certified occupational therapist assistantMust be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state or organization requirements and is in good working orderWhy Muir Home Health?Muir Home Health is a joint venture between John Muir Health and Cornerstone Group which has about 75 home health and hospice agencies throughout the country.
