Sterile Processing Technician (SPT)The Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) is responsible for the proper sterilization and processing of surgical instruments and equipment. This role is essential to maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency within surgical services.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure all surgical instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and prepared for use in surgical procedures.Adhere to established protocols for the handling and storage of sterile supplies and equipment.Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and safety guidelines related to sterile processing.Collaborate with surgical teams to provide timely and effective support for surgical needs.Utilize Epic for charting and documentation as required.Work ScheduleThis position requires the following work schedule:Night shift: 4 ten-hour shifts, Wednesday through Saturday (23:00 - 09:00).QualificationsProven experience in sterile processing.Certification in Sterile Processing.Experience with robotic instrumentation is required.Ability to work weekends as needed.Facility OverviewThe facility is a short-term acute care provider with 418 staffed beds, equipped with state-of-the-art technologies to support a range of surgical services. A parking fee is not required for staff.Scrub AttireAll staff may wear scrubs in any color. OR and L&D staff will have scrubs provided, while Micro Bio Tech and MLT professionals should adhere to business casual attire, with a lab coat provided.
