About the Role

The Company is in search of a Head of Engineering to lead a significant digital transformation within its organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a large engineering team, with a focus on transitioning from custom offerings to a unified SaaS platform. This pivotal role demands a seasoned professional with a strong background in engineering, including hands-on experience and a proven track record in technical leadership. The Head of Engineering will work closely with executive leadership and product teams to guide the organization through large-scale digital transformations, including tech stack modernizations and the adoption of a pure SaaS model. Applicants for the Head of Engineering position at the company should have a minimum of 15 years' of professional experience in engineering, with at least 5 years' in a hands-off technical leadership role. The ideal candidate will have a history of leading geographically dispersed engineering teams, particularly in the areas of application development, data, and platform engineering. Experience in B2B2C product environments, driving AI adoption, and overseeing data architecture for legacy systems is essential. The role also requires a current ability to guide technical architecture and roadmaps for large-scale digital transformations, as well as a background in modernizing tech stacks, including a transition from monolithic to microservice architecture. A degree in computer science or a related STEM field is required, and an MBA or MS in a STEM field is a plus. The candidate should be mission-driven and have a stable background with consistent tenures at reputable, tech-focused companies.
