The Assembler is responsible for constructing and preparing boats by assembling various components and ensuring they meet quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Using hand tools, drills, screw guns, and other equipment to assemble the two parts of the boat, hull, and deck.
• Following each process as carpet, transom hardware, engine, bilge equipment, ballast tanks, deck wiring, deck hardware, stereo, and helm assemblies are being completed through an assembly line with pre-determined roll times.
• Inspecting all parts after production to ensure they are complete and up to quality standards.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings and understanding the specifications and requirements for boat assembly.
• Ability to use hand and pneumatic tools.
• Installing components such as fitting engines, outdrives, electrical harnesses, pumps, storage, fuel tanks, and upholstery.
• Operating power and air tools to cut parts and assemble boat hulls, decks, and other components.
• Inspecting and testing by checking the quality of assembled parts and making necessary adjustments or repairs.
• Maintaining equipment by keeping tools and machinery in good working condition.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent level of training.
• One or more years of experience in general labor.

Physical requirements include:

• Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature occasionally.
• Must be able to bend at waist and knees and stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to climb into and out of interior of boats.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds when necessary.
• Be able to drive a forklift when necessary.
• Keep the work area clean and orderly.
• This is a safety-sensitive position.
