Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments and continuously document the evolution of clients' cases from the first consultation through to the conclusion of treatment.

• Thoroughly evaluate the mental, emotional, and behavioral health of clients, identifying areas of concern and focusing on their unique needs.
\n
• Design and implement comprehensive treatment plans that may encompass individual, couples, family, and group therapy interventions.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that encourage open dialogue and foster a supportive therapeutic environment.
\n
• Monitor clients’ progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary and providing feedback to ensure they are on track to achieve their goals.

• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers, to coordinate care and share insights on client welfare.
\n
• Maintain ongoing communication with psychiatrists and healthcare providers regarding any clients requiring hospitalization or special care.

• Recognize and mitigate behaviors that may hinder the recovery process, providing thoughtful interventions to support client growth.

• Support family members and caregivers by offering guidance and strategies to address mental health challenges within their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse clientele across various age groups, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Many clients may be coping with mental illnesses such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and various addiction disorders. A crucial aspect of this role is to foster a therapeutic alliance where clients feel safe, understood, and empowered to work on their mental health challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Demonstrated prior experience as a mental health counselor, with a focus on telehealth delivery preferred.

Preferred Experience\n

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, for effective case management and documentation.

• Experience treating clients with co-occurring conditions, including underlying physical health issues and substance use disorders.
\n
• Knowledge of best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Strong understanding of psychopharmacology and the implications of prescribed medications on mental health treatment.
\n
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on empathetic interactions.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, along with a sign-on bonus for new hires.
