About the Role

Sundial, a Boca Raton family office overseeing a portfolio of operating companies, is hiring an Accounting Manager to own platform-level financial control across our two-profile structure. The primary day-to-day responsibility is Johnston's Surveying — a 100-year-old Florida surveying firm — where you will own QuickBooks end-to-end. The platform-level responsibility is intercompany discipline, consolidated cash visibility, and reporting to Sundial leadership.

This is an accounting manager role with real authority. You will not be doing tax strategy or CPA work. You will own the books, the close, the intercompany position, and cash control across both entities.

Responsibilities

• Own all bookkeeping and accounting activity in QuickBooks (QBO and Enterprise/IES)
• Own the month-end close end-to-end; deliver close package to Sundial leadership by the 5th business day
• Own intercompany entries and Due To / Due From alignment between Sundial and Johnston's
• Reconcile bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts monthly
• Process payroll end-to-end in QuickBooks
• Review bank activity daily across both entities; maintain Positive Pay and ACH controls
• Own vendor setup, AP processing, and payment workflows
• Produce AR aging reports; resolve discrepancies within 10 business days
• Coordinate insurance renewals and certificates of insurance for both entities
• Coordinate with outside accountants for tax filings and year-end close

Required

• QuickBooks Online (QBO) proficiency with hands-on reconciliation, journal entry, payroll, and reporting experience
• Working proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise / Desktop
• Demonstrated ownership of month-end close
• Payroll processing experience including corrections
• Hands-on experience with intercompany accounting and Due To / Due From structures
• Strong audit-trail and documentation discipline
• Willingness to travel to Kissimmee, FL one day per week (covered)

Preferred

• Family office, holding company, or PE-backed multi-entity experience
• Surveying, construction, or professional services environment

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, standard business hours
• On-site at Sundial's Boca Raton office four days per week
• One day per week at Johnston's Kissimmee office
