Position Overview

Function Better Physical Therapy Assistant Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team located in White Plains, New York. In this full-time, onsite role, you will work in a collaborative hospital environment, assisting our licensed Physical Therapists in delivering exceptional patient care tailored to individuals recovering from injuries, surgeries, and various physical conditions.

Work Environment

As a Physical Therapy Assistant at our facility, you will work in a state-of-the-art hospital environment that focuses on orthopedic outpatient care. The work setting offers the chance to engage with a diverse patient population and collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring that every patient receives comprehensive and well-rounded treatment. Our flexible scheduling allows for a work-life balance, with core hours primarily from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and following the Doctor of Physical Therapy's (DPT) Plan of Care, ensuring that treatment protocols are executed effectively.
• Provide hands-on manual therapy techniques and functional exercises to support patients in regaining mobility and independence.
• Document patient progress and ensure compliance with billing practices accurately and in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with physical therapists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive, personalized care plans for each patient.
• Maintain knowledge of state and federal regulations pertaining to patient care and documentation, contributing to the overall compliance of our practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on orthopedic rehabilitation, serving clients who are recovering from surgery, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will play an essential role in helping these individuals achieve their rehabilitation goals, improve their quality of life, and enhance their functional capabilities through targeted therapy interventions.

Qualifications

• NYS Licensure: Must possess a valid New York State License for Physical Therapy Assistants.
• Education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program is required.
• Clinical and Business Acumen: Ability to navigate both patient care and the business dimensions of therapy practices.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 50,000 to 60,000 yearly , complemented by opportunities for productivity bonuses. In addition, our comprehensive benefits package includes:

• Paid Time Off of 120 hours annually, including major holidays.
• CME allowance of $1,000 with no cap on days.
