Our Sales & Account Excellence function brings together business, sector, and account knowledge along with EY competencies and solutions to meet unique client needs. The Sales & Account Excellence Organization shapes and drives an integrated growth strategy across EY’s largest accounts, industry sectors, solutions and services, demonstrating and achieving market leadership through a client centric culture.

The opportunity

The Senior Account Manager works within our Sales & Account Excellence team and is responsible for working with the Global Client Service Partner (GCSP), Sales Executive (SE), where applicable, and Account Leads to drive account strategy and innovation, drive client relationship growth, accelerate sales and develop talent. The Senior Account Manager ensures cross-service line and cross-geography team integration for our largest, most complex global accounts and that we deliver exceptional client service in all internal and external encounters.

This role supports a premier client headquartered in the Philadelphia area and requires strong local engagement with client stakeholders. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a regular presence on-site with the client as business needs dictate, fostering relationships, enabling collaboration, and driving account growth and delivery excellence.

Your key responsibilities

• You will be responsible for managing one Premier or Strategic account within the Telecommunications Sector and will be expected to drive the key activities of EY’s Account Management Framework.
• You will work with the GCSP and SE to co-develop account strategy to develop and drive the global execution of account plans, facilitate service line planning activity, account integration, pursuit support and pipeline development with discipline and rigor.
• You’ll serve as a strategic advisor and knowledge hub for the account, connecting client priorities and industry trends with EY capabilities, growth drivers, and innovative solutions across the global network
• You will also be expected to have a strong understanding of the client business agenda and EY solutions to enable leveraging the global EY network to connect our clients to the right people. You will be focused on sales pipeline generation, relationship development and deal coaching within your account.

Skills and attributes for success

• Ability to influence leaders, impact sales excellence, and drive account actions.
• Ability to operate both internally and externally and on a local and global virtual basis to achieve results.
• Strong understanding of Telecommunications industry trends, including 5G and connectivity transformation, digital and AI innovation, customer experience, enterprise growth strategies, and large-scale business and operational transformation.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate complex organizations and orchestrate multidisciplinary teams to drive growth and client impact.
• Work with minimum supervision, operating with agility, versatility, and strong problem-solving ability.
• Function as a key leader for strategic account activation.
• Own the Client Experience (CX) process by developing the plan, leading/attending interviews and driving action after the interviews and year-end follow up.
• Strong communication skills, including coaching and facilitation.
• Ability to establish credibility and trust.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• 10-12 plus years of account management or similar relevant experience.
• Must be based in the Philadelphia area
• Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
• Effective influencing and relationship building skills with strong executive presence.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Strong attention to detail and sound organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Bachelor’s degree (emphasis in Marketing or Business preferred).

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs.
• Strong business/commercial acumen and an understanding of major industry sector trends
• Leadership, facilitation, coaching and mentoring skills.
• Strategic thinking and analytical skills
• Change management and strong project management experience.

• We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job is: 
• • New York City, Boston, and Washington DC Metro Areas, Washington State, and Southern California offices – $159,400 to $287,000
  • Bay Area California offices – $166,100 to $298,900
  • All other offices locations in the US, including Sacramento – $132,900 to $263,100
• Individual salaries within these ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
• Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances.
