Financial Accountant

Our client is a successful, family-owned manufacturing company with over 30 years of experience designing, manufacturing, and supplying large window and door systems for schools and commercial office buildings. Position Summary The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a family-owned manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Manage the company's day-to-day accounting operations. Oversee the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Perform month-end and year-end closing activities. Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reports. Monitor financial performance and provide recommendations to ownership. Ensure compliance with accounting principles, tax regulations, and internal controls. Coordinate with external CPAs, auditors, and tax professionals. Support inventory accounting and cost accounting processes in a manufacturing environment. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiency. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5+ years of experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, or similar accounting leadership role. Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management. Experience managing the full accounting cycle. Proficiency with accounting software/ERP systems (QuickBooks, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or similar). Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently in a hands-on environment. Preferred Qualifications CPA designation is a plus. Experience in a family-owned or small-to-mid-sized manufacturing company.
