Our client in Rockford, IL is currently interviewing for an experienced Welder/Fabricator. This role is responsible for the assembly, fabrication, and welding of mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and able to weld directly from blueprints.


Responsibilities:

• Assemble, fabricate, and weld components per blueprint specifications
• Perform MIG, TIG, and welding as required
• Select appropriate welding processes, equipment, and methods based on job requirements
• Set up components for welding according to specifications
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality and accuracy
• Follow all safety, material handling, and PPE procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and clutter-free work area
• Follow written and verbal instructions to complete assignments
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements:
Qualifications:

• 2+ years of welding and/or fabrication experience
• Proficient in blueprint reading; must be able to weld to print
• Strong MIG and TIG welding skills
• Experience welding stainless steel (aluminum experience a plus)
• Skilled with hand and power tools
• Strong math skills and attention to detail
• Experience using calipers and micrometers for quality checks
• Reliable attendance, dependability, and flexibility
