Interim Controller

LHH is seeking an experienced Controller for a 3-4 month contract assignment with a growing international organization in Plano, TX. This hands-on role will support the accounting team during a critical period by overseeing financial reporting, month-end close, compliance, and key accounting operations. The ideal candidate is a seasoned accounting leader who can quickly step in, maintain financial integrity, and partner effectively with both domestic and international stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  
• Maintain the integrity of financial records while ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies.
  
• Review and analyze Cost of Sales (COS) accruals by evaluating trends and reconciling accruals to vendor invoices.
  
• Prepare and review monthly revenue accrual journal entries and summarize revenue activity to support finance leadership.
  
• Investigate and resolve variances between billed revenue and accrued revenue.
  
• Review Balance Sheet reconciliations and Profit & Loss (P&L) accounts to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  
• Prepare and analyze monthly, year-to-date, and annual financial statements.
  
• Ensure accurate intercompany reconciliations and coordinate with international offices to maintain consistency in financial reporting.
  
• Manage foreign currency revaluations and ensure proper accounting for international transactions.
  
• Partner with operational teams to improve accounting processes and ensure financial data is accurately captured.
  
• Support the annual audit by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and audit documentation.
  
• Evaluate and strengthen accounting processes, internal controls, and financial reporting procedures.
  
• Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team while supporting day-to-day operations.
  
• Perform additional projects and financial analysis as needed.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  
• CPA preferred; MBA is a plus.
  
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including Controller or Assistant Controller responsibilities.
  
• Experience working in an international, for-profit organization with overseas corporate headquarters is strongly preferred.
  

Pay Details: $55.00 to $65.00 per hour
