Plumbing Subject Matter Expert

DescriptionHunton Services is seeking a Plumbing Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the growth of our commercial service business by identifying, developing, and helping close plumbing-related opportunities across our existing customer base.This role sits at the intersection of technical expertise and sales, acting as a trusted advisor to both internal teams and customers. The ideal candidate brings strong plumbing knowledge in commercial environments and is comfortable engaging with customers, identifying needs, and helping translate those needs into service solutions.Come work for an industry leader that has been recognized both locally and nationally as one of the Top Places to Work !Key ResponsibilitiesPartner with Account Managers, Service Technicians, and Operations teams to identify plumbing-related service and project opportunitiesServe as the technical expert for plumbing systems, including diagnostics, troubleshooting, and solution developmentConduct site visits to assess customer needs and uncover opportunities for repair, replacement, or upgradesSupport the development of proposals, scopes of work, and pricing for plumbing servicesCollaborate with sales teams to position plumbing solutions within broader HVAC/mechanical service offeringsBuild and maintain relationships with customers as a trusted technical advisorAssist in estimating and job walks for plumbing-related workStay informed on industry trends, codes, and best practices to support high-quality recommendationsHelp drive revenue growth by expanding plumbing service offerings within existing accountsQualificationsQualifications5+ years of experience in commercial plumbing (service, installation, or project work)Strong understanding of commercial plumbing systems, codes, and troubleshooting practicesExperience interacting with customers in a service or consultative capacityAbility to identify opportunities and support sales efforts without being a traditional “hard sales” roleStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to collaborate across departments (sales, operations, service teams)Texas plumbing license preferred (Journeyman or Master), but not requiredPreferred ExperienceExperience working in a commercial HVAC/mechanical service environmentExposure to estimating, quoting, or project scopingPrior experience in a hybrid technical/sales or solutions-oriented role #J-18808-Ljbffr The Hunton Group
