Group Home Residential Manager  ($18-$20)

McKinney Direct Care Services, LLC, is seeking a Group Home Residential Manager that is compassionate and has strong organizational and managerial skills to ensure a safe, and caring living environment for our clients. The HCS (Home & Community-based Services) Group Home Residential Manager’s  role is pivotal in supporting residents, staff, and families, creating a nurturing and empowering environment that oversees the daily operations of group homes for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The Residential Manager is responsible for staff supervision, regulatory compliance, ensuring the highest standards of care for our residents, and executing individualized support plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Staff Supervision: Hire, train, schedule, manage, and evaluate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to ensure 24/7 care coverage. Conduct audits, incident reviews, and corrective actions   
• Regulatory Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to Texas Health and Human Services (HHSC) and Home HCS guidelines, including Medicaid waiver rules, health protocols, and safety standards. 
• Resident Support: Implement Person-Directed Plans (PDP) and Individual Plans of Care (IPC). This includes coordinating and or transporting clients to medical appointments, medication management, and daily living skills training.
• Facility Maintenance: Ensure the home is clean, safe, fully stocked with supplies, and meets all state physical environment requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals with IDD, including at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or management capacity as a HCS Case Manager or Residential Manager . Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered  
• Licensing: Valid Texas Driver’s License, reliable transportation, and a clear background check are required.
• Key Skills: Strong knowledge of state regulations, staff coaching, crisis management, and detailed record-keeping. 
• Education: Highly prefer an Associate or Bachelor’s degree. Specialized professional experience may substitute for formal education if accompanied by a High School Diploma or GED plus two years of full-time supervisory experience in a healthcare facility or community-based program.  
• Knowledge : Knowledge of Texas HCS/HHSC rules and Medicaid waiver programs is preferred. 
•   Work Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00 pm. May be required to work flexible hours and possibly every other weekend to meet client needs.
