Instructional Assistant - Dover, New Hampshire

This contract role offers opportunities to work in both one-on-one and classroom settings. This position is located near Dover, NH, and is ideal for candidates seeking hands-on experience with students at either the middle or high school level. Whether you're a seasoned paraprofessional or bringing relevant school-based experience, your authentic commitment to helping students succeed will be valued. The district simply requests proof of a high school diploma, making this an accessible opportunity for those passionate about education.

Qualifications:

Proof of high school diploma required (para certifications or higher education not necessary)
Experience in school settings preferred
Ability to adapt between supporting individual students and classroom groups
Strong communication and reliability
3 completed professional references, including your most recent manager, submitted before interviewing

Responsibilities:

Assist with daily classroom instruction and activities
Provide academic and behavioral support to students in both 1:1 and group settings
Collaborate with teachers, staff, and other paraprofessionals to maintain a positive classroom climate
Encourage student participation and independence
Contribute to record-keeping and reporting as required by supervising educators

Additional Details:

Positions run from September 1, 2026, through June 16, 2027
School hours: Middle School 7:10am–2:10pm; High School 7:30am–2:30pm (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch)
Weekly schedule: 32.5 hours, aligning with each school’s daily routine
