Plant Operator

Overview Responsible for the operations of stationary engines and mechanical equipment such as chillers, compressors, generators, and steam boilers. This equipment is necessary to provide utilities such as lights, heat, ventilation, medical gases, and power for refrigeration, air conditioning, and other services to the facility. Qualifications Required Education: GED or High School Diploma Required Experience: 1-2 years in building maintenance or central plant operations Necessary Skills: Must have the ability to work independently with minimum supervision. Must have the ability to inspect equipment or systems and identify conditions requiring correction. Must have a working knowledge of common hand tools, general safety, blueprints, schematic diagrams, and be able to interpret instructions. Must have basic working knowledge of electricity and distribution systems. Must have the ability to perform basic mechanical, carpentry, and plumbing repairs. #J-18808-Ljbffr UF Health
