Responsible for aspects of care/communication related to assigned caseload of patients./liliEducates patient, family, and care providers. Plans, implements, and evaluates formal and informal education regarding all aspects of care for the patient, family and caregivers and documents appropriately./liliOrganizes and submits data to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines. Maintains entry, review and validation of all required data for caseload of patients according to protocol. Maintains the accuracy and timeliness of reporting with a greater than 95% compliance. Organizes and reports data to ensure efficient and consistent operation of the department within regulatory guidelines and for research and clinical care./liliActively participates in program quality assessment and performance improvement initiatives including committees or teams./liliParticipates in quality improvement initiatives and assists with process and protocol development/revision based on evidence based/best practice findings./liliCollaborates effectively with the interdisciplinary team and leverages the expertise of the team to achieve patient outcomes./liliEnsures improvements in practice by assuming responsibility for continuing education including obtaining and maintaining professional certification./liliPerforms other duties as assigned./li/ulpstrongMinimum Qualifications:/strong/pullistrongEducation:/strong Bachelors degree in nursing/lilistrongExperience:/strong Three years of RN experience/lilistrongCertification:/strong Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse; Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association/li/ulpstrongPreferred Qualifications/strong:/pullistrongExperience:/strong critical care/med-surg; transplant; lung/li/ul/div
