Role: Azure APIM Integration Analyst/ Developer
Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid 3 days a week)
Duration: 6 Months of contract
Job description:
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy RESTful APIs using Azure services.
- Implement and manage APIs through Azure API Management (APIM).
- Develop integrations using Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, and Event Grid.
- Configure APIM policies including security, rate limiting, caching, and routing.
- Manage API lifecycle activities including versioning, products, subscriptions, and developer portal publishing.
- Implement API security using OAuth 2.0, JWT, Azure AD/Entra ID, and subscription keys.
- Automate API deployments using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, ARM, Bicep, or Terraform.
- Monitor and troubleshoot APIs using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
- Collaborate with application, cloud, and security teams to define integration solutions.
- Ensure API governance, performance, reliability, and compliance with enterprise standards.
- Support production incidents, root cause analysis, and continuous service improvements.
- Document API designs, integration patterns, and operational procedures.

- 5+ years of application integration and API development experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure API Management (APIM).
- Experience implementing enterprise-scale API platforms.
- Strong experience with Azure Integration Services.
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code.
Preferred Certifications
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
- Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400)
