Job Overview A law firm seeks a highly skilled Chemical Patent Attorney in Royal Oak, MI. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and proven experience in patent prosecution, focusing on drafting and prosecuting patent applications in complex scientific fields. Duties Draft and prosecute patent applications before the USPTO and international patent offices Collaborate with inventors, scientists, and corporate clients to develop IP strategies Oversee patent portfolios and provide guidance on IP protection and enforcement Requirements Ph.D. in Physics, Chemical Physics, or Organic Chemistry (required) Minimum 3 years of experience in patent prosecution Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience with deposition technology is a plus Admission to practice before the USPTO; state bar admission required Education Ph.D. in Physics, Chemical Physics, or Organic Chemistry Certifications Admission to practice before the USPTO State bar admission Skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Client-focused approach with attention to detail Familiarity with ChemDraw Benefits 401(k) Dental insurance Medical insurance Vision insurance Paid maternity leave Paid paternity leave Disability insurance #J-18808-Ljbffr BCG Attorney Search
