The BlackRock Investment Institute (BII) leverages the firm's expertise and generates proprietary research to provide insights on long-term asset allocation, the global economy, markets, sustainable investing and geopolitics all to help our clients and portfolio managers navigate financial markets.

BII is searching for an Administrative Business Partner to support senior members of the team as well as drive key team activities, deliverables and events. The candidate should have significant experience supporting senior management in a fast-paced global financial services firm as well as project management experience. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, discreet, efficient, detail-oriented, positive and proactive and manages key stakeholders with tact and purpose. The candidate should be a team player, resourceful, organized, professional and communicative.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily calendars for senior team members, demonstrating flexibility and problem-solving abilities to adjust or prioritize schedules based on last-minute changes.
  • Arrange and reserve conference rooms, catering, audio/video and other services as needed for meetings and conferences.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and submit expense reports in an efficient manner using Concur.
  • Drive key team activities and events (such as team meetings, strategy sessions, conferences, ordering supplies).
  • Handle tasks proactively and efficiently to ensure seamless coverage for all supported staff.
  • Helping the team manage and drive projects, including ensuring deliverables come in at agreed-upon timelines.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of administrative experience, preferably at a large global organization in the financial services industry.
  • Strong skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint; experience and proficiency working with automated expense tracking, online travel and similar systems.
  • Excellent strategic, interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
  • Passion for team building, forging connections and fostering firm culture.
  • Strong time management skills; ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments, with a high degree of accuracy, and meet deadlines.
  • Discretion in handling confidential information in all aspects of work.
  • Able and willing to work independently, while seeking guidance when appropriate, in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
  • Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred.

For New York, NY only the salary range for this position is USD$76,000.00 - USD$145,000.00 which is the equivalent of USD$36.54 - USD$69.71 per hour. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits.
