Job Description

Position OverviewAs a Warehouse Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Supervisor, you will successfully integrate EHS into the functional operation of the facility by implementing systems, processes, and procedures to prevent injuries to our associates and minimize the environmental impact of our operations. This leader will focus on EHS continuous improvement; making incremental improvements that target a world class safety culture at their assigned facility.\n

Shift- 7am to 3:30pm, Tuesday to Saturday (times & days may vary based on facility needs)
\n Eg. Safety training & incident investigation on varying shifts.

\n

• \n

  Execute on and maintain company wide EHS initiatives including, but not limited to assigned facility compliance activities. Provide effective solutions to current, and anticipate, the changing business needs to build and sustain a world-class safety culture.

\n
• \n

  Actively engage associates of all levels within the assigned facility and perform routine audits and assessments that all help prevent incidents from occurring.

\n
• \n

  Provide local EHS leadership by partnering with operational business functions to enable efficient knowledge transfer of key skills to managers, supervisors and employees.

\n
• \n

  Thoroughly support the investigation of all incidents including near misses and develop appropriate action plans to mitigate future incidents, and communicate action plans with local operations team members.

\n
• \n

  Manage and report on established company metrics while developing local metrics which add value to the operations.

\n
• \n

  Partner in relationships with workers compensation, medical resources, Site Safety Manager and Regional Safety to establish systems which provide appropriate care for associates and support the needs of the business.

  Review and evaluate the performance of hourly associates to maintain safety standards.

\n
• \n

  Manage the Zero In - Safety Program, administer training for employees and leadership

• \n

  Travel Required: Occasionally within city limits.

\n

  Warehouse: Dry Grocery 95% (50F to 90F)

\n
• \n

  Warehouse: Freezer 5% (0F to -20F) 

\n

\n

Skills

\n

\n
• \n

  Basic understanding of warehouse Health and Safety operations.

\n
• \n

  Ability to spend 80% of the work day walking a warehouse.

\n
• \n

  Ability to coach, mentor and guide varying levels of hourly employees and salaried leaders.

\n
• \n

  Strong ability to handle simultaneous tasks of varying complexity.

\n

\n

Preferred Skills

\n

\n
• \n

  Athletic Training Certifications (e.g., NASM, ACSM, ATC, or related)

\n
• \n

  Bilingual 

\n

\n

Years Of Experience

• \n

  2-5: 4+ Years of Supervisory level roles in fast paced business environment, preferably warehouses
