STAFF ACCOUNTANT

Staff AccountantThe NeuroMedical Center Clinic in Baton Rouge, LA is looking for a full-time Staff Accountant to join our Accounting team.This position is responsible for assisting with general accounting functions, month-end close, financial statement preparation, and assisting with the accounts payable process and other accounting projects.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrepare bank and general ledger account reconciliations.Prepare and enter monthly journal entries.Assist with all processes involved in the preparation of monthly financial statements for the clinic.Maintain the fixed asset system.Maintain accurate vendor records and assist with vendor inquiries and account reconciliations.Assist with review of invoices for appropriate documentation, approvals, and account codingAssist with the processing, coding, and entering accounts payable invoices accurately and timelyMaintain confidentiality of financial and company information.Assist with various projects assigned by the Director of Accounting.Qualifications: Candidate will have a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred and must have a working knowledge of excel. Equivalent work experience in accounting may be considered in lieu of a degree.Education Required: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is preferred. Equivalent work experience in accounting may be considered in lieu of a degree.Experience Required: 1 year preferred.
