Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join a well-established law firm in Sacramento, California. The attorney will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of litigation and transactional matters, providing legal counsel to business clients across a variety of industries.

The ideal candidate will have strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills, along with the ability to work collaboratively while managing matters independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle a diverse caseload involving both litigation and transactional matters.
• Conduct legal research and analysis and provide practical legal guidance to clients.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Assist with case strategy, discovery, depositions, hearings, and other litigation activities.
• Represent clients' interests throughout the litigation process and prepare matters for trial when appropriate.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other legal professionals.
• Manage multiple matters and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
• Collaborate with attorneys and other team members on complex legal matters.
• Provide comprehensive, business-minded legal counsel and practical solutions to client concerns.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active admission to the California State Bar and in good standing.
• 3-5+ years of legal experience.
• Experience with litigation and/or transactional matters.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Demonstrated commitment to providing thoughtful, practical, and client-focused legal advice.
