Medical Director Clinical Development

Medical Director, Clinical Development - Boston, MA (2 days/week hybrid) Our client, a clinical-stage biotech company, is seeking a Medical Director, Clinical Development to support early-phase clinical development programs. This individual will serve as the sponsor medical monitor across clinical trials, partnering closely with CROs, clinical operations, and internal stakeholders to ensure patient safety, protocol compliance, and successful trial execution. Key Responsibilities Serve as sponsor medical monitor for Phase I/II clinical trials Lead safety review meetings with CROs and oversee eligibility, adverse event management, and site-related issues. Review clinical trial documents, including protocols, informed consent forms, and safety-related plans. Contribute to safety reporting activities (e.g., DSURs, ASRs, CIOMS). Evaluate emerging safety signals and support appropriate site communication and management. Support clinical operations and provide medical guidance throughout trial conduct. Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) to support trial design, execution, and dissemination of results. Participate in regulatory interactions, including pre-IND, IND, and end-of-phase meetings. Qualifications MD (or equivalent physician qualification) with an active medical license. 3+ years of clinical development experience, preferably in early-phase biotech or pharmaceutical settings. Experienced running trials from study start-up through to close-out Experience in medical monitoring, safety management, and cross-functional collaboration. #J-18808-Ljbffr Meet Life Sciences
