Senior Medical Director, Clinical Development A growing biopharmaceutical organization is seeking a Senior Medical Director, Clinical Development to help shape clinical strategy and advance innovative therapies. Reporting to the SVP of R&D, you will lead clinical planning, trial design, and cross‑functional execution while bringing creativity, analytical rigor, and patient‑centric thinking to development programs. What You’ll Do Lead clinical development strategy and contribute to the Clinical Development Plan (CDP). Design, execute, and oversee clinical studies, ensuring safety and data quality. Develop key clinical documents (protocols, SAPs, CSRs). Analyze and interpret clinical data and communicate strategic insights. Support publications, regulatory interactions, and external scientific engagement. Build strong cross‑functional partnerships and align diverse stakeholder groups. What You Bring MD or MD‑PhD with 8+ years of clinical drug development experience. Rare disease and/or gastroenterology experience preferred. Strong understanding of clinical research methodology and regulatory requirements. Proven leadership, communication, and influence skills. High learning agility, creativity, and ability to apply cross‑therapeutic insights.
