About the Position

Job Title: Med/Surg Tele RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Med/Surgical Telemetry Duration: 18 weeks Shift: Rotating Day/Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 12 months permanent experience in specialty required License: Permanent Ohio license or compact license required Certifications: Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Must-Have: - Experience in Med/Surg Telemetry - Flexibility to float as needed - Ability to work every other holiday Description: The role involves working in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit. Nurses may be required to float to care for similar patient populations. Shifts are rotating between 7pm-7:30am and 7am-7:30pm. The facility will make every effort to honor preferred shifts, but rotations may occur based on operational needs. Candidates must have a minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty being applied for. An active Ohio nursing license or compact state license is necessary. BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications must be current and in hand at the time of application. Travelers are required to take an ECG rhythm recognition test and a safeMedicate assessment during orientation. An acceptable score on both assessments is required for continuation in the role. Travelers will have a maximum of two attempts to pass these assessments. Any background checks will be thoroughly reviewed, and candidates with open cases will not be accepted. Nurses are exempt from nicotine-free facility requirements; however, all other travelers must be nicotine-free and must pass a 10-panel drug screen. Candidates who do not meet the annual competency requirements may be removed from the schedule.
