Digital Marketing Director

Job Description

Digital Marketing Director is responsible for driving and managing the digital marketing effort to support the retail, at-home, and e-commerce business units. He/she is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive strategy that builds new customers and drives sales across all channels. He/she must have keen insight of BTG business and brand strategy and be able to balance short-term results with long-term brand positioning. Digital Marketing Director must be a hands-on manager, an astute analyst and good strategist. He/she must have relevant experience in a multi-location retail or service business.

Responsibilities:

• Direct and a manage digital marketing team and all digital marketing activities
\n
• Directly manage ecommerce analyst and social media coordinator
\n
• Directly manage all digital marketing activities (including search words, pre-rolls, email, social marketing, etc.) and budget
\n
• Optimize marketing campaign for the online marketing
\n
• Responsible for developing and optimizing a digital marketing calendar to support promotional calendar
\n
• Direct and manage all social media efforts with the goal of developing brand ambassadors, brand influencers and indirect referrals
\n
• Monitor competitive activity and develop counter programs to ensure pre-eminence of the BTG brand online
\n
• Work with other marketing managers to develop and sustain a culture that values analytical problem solving, collaboration and accountability
\n
• Lead effort to measure, analyse and attribute marketing spend to traffic and sales
\n
• Led effort to analyze marketing metrics to identify cause-effect relationships and suggest ways to utilize these insights in new campaigns
\n
• Work with other marketing managers to develop and implement marketing campaigns that drive traffic and sales
\n
• Use SEO and SEM to drive organic and overall website traffic
\n
• Work with creative team to create digital marketing content
\n
• Work with other marketing manager to design consumer research that offer insight into customer behavior and recommend programs that attract new customers
\n

Requirements:

\n
• Bachelor degree in marketing, economics, mathematics, statistics, sciences or engineering
\n
• 7+ years experience in digital marketing in retail, consumer product/service, consulting business
\n
• Multi-channel marketing experience
\n
• Experience with SEO, PPC,, content marketing, paid search and social marketing
\n
• 3+ years management experience
\n
• Working knowledge of database marketing, email marketing, statistical analysis
\n
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, data manipulation and planning skills
\n
• Strong computer skills including (Excel, Google Analytics, relational databases etc.)
\n
• Entrepreneurial, hands-on, and able to work independently
\n
• High level of self-motivation and intellectual curiosity
\n
• Good oral and written communication skills
\n

We will invest roughly 3 months setting up the Marketing Director for success at BTG. He/she needs to develop a strong knowledge of sales, business and marketing process and relationships and strong instincts for the brand and business. Development plan will be individualized, but will include time in stores understanding the customer, how product is sold, and BTG’s competitive advantage.
