About the Position

• Provide specialized nursing care to premature and critically ill newborns in Level II/III NICU settings.
• Perform continuous monitoring, assessment, and documentation of neonates’ conditions using Epic EMR.
• Administer medications, fluids, and nutritional support according to physician orders and protocols.
• Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and other team members to plan and deliver coordinated care.
• Educate and support families on neonatal conditions, procedures, and home care preparation.
• Respond promptly to emergencies such as apnea, bradycardia, and respiratory distress.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and developmentally appropriate environment for infants.
• Participate in floating assignments as needed — may include Maternal-Baby (MB), Pediatrics, or adult units (within helping-hands capacity).

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 3+ years of recent NICU experience required (Level II or III mandatory; Level III strongly preferred).
• BLS – Basic Life Support
• NRP – Neonatal Resuscitation Program
• PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support
• STABLE – Post-Resuscitation/Pre-Transport Stabilization Program
• Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; current RN license in the state of New York (or compact equivalent).
• EMR: Epic experience required.
