About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Medicine Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour; Mid 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Two years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last three years License: Registered Nurse license required Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS - AHA ONLY required TNCC required Must-Have: Epic experience required Description: Evening 12-hour shifts include weekends and holidays. Previous charge experience is preferred. Patient ratios are approximately 4 patients per nurse. Travel experience is required. The facility provides comprehensive emergency care and serves as a critical entry point to the healthcare system. It rapidly stabilizes patients for admission or transfer across a continuum of care. The department focuses on timely, evidence-based care for patients across the lifespan and for a wide range of clinical presentations. The emergency department includes exam rooms and vertical care spaces, with the ability to flex additional exam rooms to meet surges in demand. The team coordinates closely with ambulance services to provide seamless care for critically ill and injured patients. Nursing staff serves as part of a rapid response team, delivering emergent assessment and intervention throughout the facility. Telemetry testing is required prior to starting the assignment. The testing includes identification of lethal rhythms and answering questions regarding heart blocks, with a passing score of 80% or higher. If the traveler does not pass after three attempts, the assignment will be canceled.
