Patent Agent and Technical Specialist

Job Overview A law firm seeks patent agents and technical specialists in Houston, TX with over two years of patent prosecution experience. Candidates should possess a strong background in electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or physics, and demonstrate proficiency in patent application preparation and prosecution. Duties Prepare and prosecute patent applications. Collaborate with clients to understand technical innovations. Conduct patentability and freedom‑to‑operate analyses. Stay updated on relevant patent laws and regulations. Requirements Minimum of two years of patent prosecution experience. Experience with wireless telecommunication standards, signal processing, or computer networking. Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or physics. Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (preferred). Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
