Watch Engineer (2nd Class Fireman)

Schedule & Hours Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40. Operates and maintains steam boilers, auxiliaries, and chiller plant equipment. Represents the Facilities department as first contact on nights, weekends, and holidays. This position has no set shift and provides coverage for vacations. Qualifications, Education & Training 2+ years experience in a high‑pressure boiler room (preferred) Excellent communication skills Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds and climb a ladder Massachusetts First Class Fireman License or higher Massachusetts Second Class Fireman License is required Age Specific Criteria Ability to effectively communicate to all age levels served within the scope of the position/assigned areas. Salary Salary Range: $25.16–$38.42 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on work history, experience, skill set, and education.
