RN - PACU

Registered Nurse - PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Four 10-hour shifts per week, with call required nights and weekends.

The Registered Nurse in the PACU will provide high-quality patient care in a supportive environment. Responsibilities include monitoring patient recovery from anesthesia, ensuring patient safety, and managing pain levels, as well as collaborating with the surgical team.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess patients recovering from anesthesia.
• Administer medications and manage patient pain levels.
• Collaborate effectively with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Adhere to ASPAN guidelines for patient care ratios.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients.
• Participate in departmental meetings and quality improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current RN license.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Previous experience in PACU or critical care settings preferred.
