Registered Nurse (RN) - PACU

Schedule

This is a four 10-hour shifts position, with a daytime schedule. Call is required for nights and weekends.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical thinking skills and the ability to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. This role includes working in PreOp, Phase 1, and Phase 2 of patient recovery.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to patients in the PACU, adhering to ASPAN guidelines.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond to changes in condition with urgency.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient patient flow and care.
• Administer medications and perform other nursing duties as required.
• Educate patients and families on the recovery process and post-operative care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current and valid RN license.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in PACU or similar setting preferred.
