So, everything we do at CNH Industrial is about reaching new heights as one team, always delivering for the good of our customers.Job PurposeProvide strategic and practical legal counsel to support CNH Industrial Capital’s financial services operations, with a primary focus on commercial finance, leasing, banking, lending, and regulatory compliance matters. The role is responsible for delivering risk-based legal guidance across financial services regulations, consumer protection, KYC compliance, and regulatory examinations, while enabling business growth and operational excellence. This position partners closely with Legal, Compliance, Operations, Finance, Credit Risk, and senior leadership to manage legal risk, ensure regulatory compliance, and support key business initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Services & Consumer ComplianceProvide legal advice regarding federal and state laws applicable to commercial and consumer credit products, servicing, collections, payments, and related customer experiences.Advise on the Truth in Lending Act, Equal Credit Opportunity Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Electronic Fund Transfer Act, Servicemembers Civil Relief Act, Military Lending Act, unfair or deceptive acts or practices, privacy requirements, and applicable state lending and licensing laws.Review product terms, applications, account agreements, disclosures, adverse action communications, marketing materials, servicing notices, and collection communications.Partner with business and compliance teams to identify legal requirements and translate them into practical policies, procedures, controls, training, and monitoring.Bank Compliance & Risk GovernanceAdvise on the Bank Secrecy Act, anti-money laundering requirements, customer identification and due diligence, sanctions compliance, suspicious activity escalation, and related governance.Provide legal guidance on deposit compliance, privacy, information security, complaints, fair lending, third-party risk management, and Community Reinvestment Act considerations.Support development and maintenance of the compliance policy framework.Participate in risk assessments, issue management, corrective action planning, and escalation of material legal or regulatory concerns.Advise relevant management on emerging legal and regulatory risks.Corporate, Commercial & Product SupportDraft, review, and negotiate vendor agreements, fintech and payments arrangements, treasury and funding documentation, intercompany agreements, and other commercial contracts.Provide legal review for new products, services, channels, and material changes to existing offerings.Advise on banking, data use, artificial intelligence, automated decision-making, and emerging financial technology matters.Governance & Examination SupportAssist with regulatory filings, periodic certifications, policies, and required approvals.Coordinate legal support for regulatory examinations, internal audits, compliance testing, and independent reviews.Track regulatory commitments and advise management regarding sustainable corrective actions.Experience RequiredJuris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.Active license and good standing to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.6+ years of relevant legal experience in banking, consumer finance, financial services regulation, or a closely related field.Knowledge of bank regulatory and consumer financial services requirements.Experience advising bank clients on business, compliance, or risk partners on implementation of legal requirements.Strong written and verbal communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to explain complex requirements to senior leaders and operational teams.Ability to manage multiple high-priority workstreams and operate effectively in a developing regulatory environment.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting a bank, industrial bank, bank holding company, banking regulator, or bank regulatory practice group.Experience with banking compliance, regulatory examinations, or remediation programs.Working knowledge of FDIC requirements, consumer compliance, BSA/AML, deposit products, fair lending, and third-party risk management.Experience establishing or enhancing a compliance management system, governance framework, or enterprise policy program.Experience supporting equipment finance, commercial lending, retail installment financing, leasing, or dealer finance.#LI-EF1#LI-hybridPay TransparencyThe annual salary for this role is USD $120,230.00 - $184,300.00 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)For roles open across multiple locations, the salary range indicated refers to the primary location.
