- Perform maintenance and repairs on diesel and non-diesel vehicles and heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with vehicles and equipment.
- Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Repair and maintain various systems, including powertrains, hydraulics, fuel injection, and air brake systems.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and manuals to assess vehicle and equipment conditions.
- Maintain accurate repair records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Provide guidance and support to junior mechanics as needed.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Diesel Mechanic.
- Strong expertise in diesel engine repair and maintenance.
- Proficient with diagnostic tools, schematics, and repair manuals.
- Ability to perform complex repairs with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and fuel systems.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in varying environmental conditions.
- Valid driver's license (CDL preferred).
- Must provide own hand tools and toolbox.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in various physical positions.
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
