Traveling Nuclear Medicine Tech

Jackson HealthPros is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team. The technologist will prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, operate radiation detection and imaging equipment, perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures, and ensure patient and staff safety during imaging and tracer administration. The role requires independent decision-making at times and adherence to departmental protocols and radiation safety practices.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in nuclear medicine technology or related field.
• ARRT or NMTCB national certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of nuclear medicine technologist experience.
• Experience performing cardiac stress/rest tests, HIDA, GI bleed studies, VQ perfusion scans, bone scans, renal scans, parathyroid scans with SPECT CT, and administration of I-131.
• Experience starting IVs.
• Experience with Siemens CKM and Siemens Symbia S required. Siemens Prospecta experience preferred.
• Comfortable working independently as the sole nuclear medicine technologist on shift.
• Experience in hospital settings and working with adult patient populations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a Level II trauma center or teaching hospital environment.
• Experience using EPIC EMR and Philips PACS.
• Previous travel or floating experience considered a plus.

Assignment Details

• Monday through Friday schedule with 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM shift hours.
• Standard hours per week: 36.
• Orientation: four shifts of department orientation required.
• Weekend rotation is required per requisition; staffing includes 2–3 Nuc Med Techs during the week and one on weekends.
• May be on call for some holidays; holiday expectations are call only.
• Support in department includes a lead tech, management, house transport, and nursing support; RN available on weekends to assist with cardiac cases.
• Must be able to work solo on shift when staffing requires.
