Sports Graphic Design Intern

Gain hands-on experience working in a fast-paced sports environment while developing skills in graphic design, branding, digital media, and game presentation. The St. Cloud Rox are an industry leader in fan support, winning, community engagement, staff development, along with consistently creating a ballpark environment that is incredibly entertaining and fun for fans and staff. The Rox have a proven track record of providing interns with hands-on experience and knowledge that will be useful in competing for jobs in the sports industry. Many former Rox interns have obtained a full-time job with sports organizations after their internship. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, a strong communicator with the ability to work in a team environment, has an eagerness to learn, and possesses the flexibility to adapt to what each day brings with a positive attitude. The Rox will work with you to fulfill requirements for college credit if necessary. This position starts in May and lasts through mid-August. Reports to: Creative Media Director

Responsibilities

· Create a variety of daily graphic design projects for the Rox, including:

• Rox Report (Gameday program)
• Social media graphics, including starting lineups, final scores, player of the game, and other game-day content
• Videoboard graphics, including game partner recognition, promotions, announcements, and fan engagement content
• Print materials, including schedule posters, player cards, promotional materials, and other marketing pieces
• Creative mock-ups and design concepts for Rox corporate partners

· Assist with the Creative Media Director and other creative interns on creating content for social media

· Maintain a consistent visual identity across all projects to ensure the Rox brand is represented professionally and cohesively.

· Collaborate with the Creative Media Director and fellow creative interns to develop engaging content for social media and other digital platforms.

· Work closely with the Rox front office to understand and fulfill the creative needs of corporate partners, sponsors, and group leaders.

· Operate and manage the Rox videoboard during home games, including creating and organizing content for in-game presentations.

· Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

· Ability to work under a deadline in a fast-paced environment

· Have a positive attitude and provide a strong effort to succeed

· Self-motivated

· Detailed oriented and very organized

· Minimum one year of experience in graphic design

· Graphic design efficiency (Photoshop, InDesign)

· Availability to work Rox home games, which includes some nights and weekends

· Effective written and verbal communication skills
