Shifts: D/E/N Rotating Shift Schedules, including Weekends, Holidays, On-Call, and Callback as per Unit Needs


Seven Healthcare are seeking a dedicated SMH Level 1 RN specializing in Psychiatry to join their team on Unit 3900. This travel role offers a dynamic working environment where you will conduct intake assessments, plan and provide nursing care, and work in collaboration with psychiatrists and behavioral health staff.

Key Responsibilities of the SMH Level 1 RN Psych

• Conducts intake assessments through interviews with patients and relatives
• Plans and provides nursing care for patients
• Makes nursing diagnosis and recommends treatment options
• Consults with psychiatrists and other behavioral staff for treatment plans
• Administers and notes reactions to medications
• Arranges further medical attention when necessary
• Assists clients in understanding and accepting the need for treatment
• Maintains safe and secure environment for staff and patients
• Tests for vital signs of pain and ensures treatments
• Documents patient information on medical charts
• Maintains patient confidentiality
• Maintains accurate records of patient treatments and results
• Performs administrative assignments and provides high-quality service

Requirements of the SMH Level 1 RN Psych

• NY License ONLY
• BLS Certification (AHA) ONLY
• Minimum 2 years experience
