Registered Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week contract assignment. The ideal candidate will have advanced respiratory care experience, strong critical thinking skills, and the ability to manage complex cardiopulmonary cases. This role involves providing respiratory therapy treatments, performing diagnostic testing, maintaining respiratory equipment, and collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will also serve as a clinical resource and mentor, supporting best practices and positive patient outcomes. Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Shift: Nights Schedule: 4x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM Pay: $35-38/hr Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week contract assignment. The ideal candidate will possess expert-level respiratory care skills and experience performing advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. This position requires the ability to work independently, manage complex patient populations, and provide mentorship to other respiratory care professionals. Key Responsibilities Provide respiratory therapy treatments and interventions as ordered by physicians. Assess, monitor, and manage patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary conditions. Perform diagnostic procedures, including pulmonary function testing (PFTs), treadmill testing, and hemodynamic monitoring. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot ABG analyzers and respiratory care equipment. Assist with special procedures and advanced respiratory care interventions. Monitor patient response to therapy and communicate changes in condition to the healthcare team. Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in accordance with facility standards. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Serve as a mentor and clinical resource for respiratory therapy staff. Required Qualifications Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential. Current state Respiratory Care license (if applicable). Strong experience in respiratory therapy, critical care, and advanced diagnostics. Proficiency in pulmonary function testing, ABG analysis, hemodynamic monitoring, and respiratory equipment management. Ability to manage complex patient cases and provide clinical leadership. Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient care skills.
