Postdoctoral Research Fellow – CTCR, Center for Translational Cancer Research The Brown Foundation Institute of Molecular Medicine, located at 1825 Pressler, Houston, Texas 77030. Position Summary A postdoctoral position is available to study the structure and function of LGR4/5/6 and other GPCRs for cancer treatment discovery in the laboratory of Dr. Qingyun "Jim" Liu. The Liu lab focuses on the function and mechanism of these receptors in Wnt signaling and targeting them for gastrointestinal cancer treatment. The role will focus on understanding signaling mechanisms and generating/characterizing ligand‑drug conjugates and bispecific antibodies for drug discovery. Key Accountabilities Plan and conduct experiments, analyze data, and prepare publications. Assist in training and mentoring graduate students and trainees. Read and evaluate relevant literature. Collaborate and communicate effectively at all levels. Maintain strong written and oral communication skills. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications A recent Ph.D. in biology or a related field is required. Preference for candidates with a Ph.D. in biochemistry, cell biology, cancer biology, pharmacology, or therapeutics. Minimum Education Doctoral/Terminal Degree. Physical Requirements Exert up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
