As a Screener in a government location, you will help monitor access, screen people and property, and support daily security-related operations with professionalism and strong communication. This is an armed post. Position Type Part Time Pay Rate $19.50 / Hour Job Schedule DayTime Tue 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM Wed 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM What You'll Do Provide customer service by carrying out screening procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location. Screen visitors, staff, and/or personal property in accordance with post orders and access control procedures, and report irregularities or prohibited items through appropriate channels. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner while assisting with crowd management, entry point activity, and/or directions for visitors. Monitor entrances, screening equipment, and/or assigned areas to help support orderly operations and document security‑related concerns, unusual activity, and/or policy violations. Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter as assigned, noting conditions that may require follow‑up by site contacts or public officials. Minimum Requirements Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience. Possess an armed guard card or license. Be at least 21 years of age. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry‑specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
