Senior Accountant

Job TitleRequired Skills & Experience Side Notes: Hybrid opportunities up to manager's discretion NO time off last week and first week of month unless emergency (month-end close)Must Haves: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business related field 3+ years of experience in accounting required; working with reconciliations, expense accruals, general ledger systems Experience with Balance Sheet reconciliation (will have to do that from time to time) Strong excel proficiency (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, Pivot tables, etc.) Team player and eagerness to own your workNice to Have Skills & Experience Plusses: Any experience in private accounting sector STRONGLY preferred (this is usually where reconciliation experience comes from) If they come from public sector (need to understand they will be doing heavy consulting and owning areas) Background in accounts payableJob Description Day to Day: Responsible for general ledger accounting, various analyses and reconciliations, production of information used in corporate and consolidated financial statements and reports, detail review of the work of others, process improvement initiatives, liaison to external departments of accounting related issues, understanding of certain state and federal regulations, and other assignments and tasks for all areas assigned.
