Operations & Intake Analyst

Job Description and Duties

As an Analyst I, you’ll be a key support resource for the Business Services Section, helping ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly and efficiently. You’ll serve as a primary point of contact for operational requests, providing customer service while coordinating, routing, and tracking work from intake through completion.

You’ll support a wide range of functions including workflow coordination, facilities and vendor support, onboarding/offboarding, badging, inventory and asset management, records management, and administrative operations. Using tools such as ServiceNow, FI$Cal, and C-Cure, you’ll help connect staff with the resources they need and ensure requests are handled accurately and timely. This is a great opportunity for someone who is organized, responsive, detail-oriented, and enjoys solving problems and helping others, while making a meaningful contribution to the success of the department.

Working Conditions

At FI$Cal, we are compliant with the Governors executive order, N22-025, requiring staff to be in office 4 or more days per week. In-office attendance is mandatory on designated days and is subject to change. Our office is located at 2000 Evergreen Street, Sacramento, CA. Candidates residing outside of California are welcome to interview, but proof of California residency is required before appointment. Please note, relocation and commute expenses are the responsibility of the employee.

This position requires prolonged sitting in an office-setting environment with the use of a personal computer. Employees must demonstrate a commitment to maintain a working environment free from discrimination and sexual harassment. All staff must maintain regular, consistent, predictable attendance, maintain good working habits and adhere to all policies and procedures.

Special Requirements

• The position(s) require(s) a Background Investigation be cleared prior to being hired.

• This position requires the ability to work under pressure to meet  deadlines .
• The incumbent is expected to perform functions and duties under the guidance of the Department of FISCal’s core values.
• The incumbent provides back-up, as necessary, to ensure continuity of departmental activities.
• This position may require the use of a hand-cart to transport documents and/or equipment over 20 pounds.

Desirable Qualifications

In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:

• Experience providing customer service in a professional or service-oriented environment.
• Experience using a ticketing or work order management system to track and resolve requests.
• Experience managing supply inventory and placing supply orders.
• Experience receiving, tracking, and maintaining records for organizational assets.
• Experience with warehouse operations, including the receiving, storage, and distribution of materials and equipment.
• Experience coordinating and communicating with contracted vendors and service providers.
• Experience using badging and access control software systems.
• Experience supporting facility operations and related administrative functions.

Statement of Qualifications

Statement of Qualifications (SOQ)

A Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is required and must be submitted with your application. The SOQ serves as a documentation of each candidate’s ability to present information clearly and concisely in writing.

When completing the SOQ, you must title the page “Statement of Qualifications” and list the question, providing your answer below. When completing the SOQ please explain your answers thoroughly, including all relevant experience, education and training. The SOQ must be typed in 12-point Arial font and be no more than 1 page in length with correct grammar use, punctuation and spelling. Your SOQ must address the following:

Describe your experience supporting or managing facility operations. Provide examples that demonstrate your problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
