Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a days shift outpatient rehabilitation position requiring an active PT license and at least 1 year of experience.

• Uses EMR for evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries

Requirements

• Active state license as a Physical Therapist required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Degree in Physical Therapy required
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and assist with patient transfers and mobility
• Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for prolonged periods during 8-10 hour work days
• Computer skills including typing, Word, Internet, and EMR use required

Additional Information

• Responsible for evaluating and treating patients for physical therapy and rehabilitation programs
• Supervises PT Assistants and Aides in patient care
• Communicates with physicians and staff to ensure quality patient care
• Maintains accurate patient chart documentation and follow-up on prescriptions, test results, and authorizations
• Works closely with front office staff on scheduling and patient follow-up
• Familiarity with PT billing policies including Medicare, workers' comp, private, auto, and liens
• Proficient in DX and ICD-10 coding for billing of services
• Complies with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
• No travel required for this position
