Southeast Steel Systems is looking for an Inside Sales Representative who knows how to turn customer inquiries into profitable business. This is not a traditional customer service position. We are looking for someone who enjoys selling, follows up consistently, understands that pricing and margin matter, and knows how to build customer relationships that generate repeat business. THE EARNING OPPORTUNITY This position offers a competitive base salary plus significant uncapped commission earning potential. Commission is uncapped. Your earning potential grows with your performance. Top performers who learn our products, price effectively, protect Gross Profit, consistently follow up, upsell opportunities, and close business can significantly increase their total annual earnings. WHAT YOU WILL DO Respond quickly to inbound leads, customer calls, emails, and quote requests. Prepare accurate and competitive quotes while protecting Gross Profit. Follow up consistently on open quotes, bids, leads, and opportunities until they are won, lost, or closed. Ask the right questions to understand the customer's complete project and identify opportunities to sell additional products and services. Build relationships that generate repeat business and long term customer loyalty. Partner with Outside Sales, Operations, Estimating, Purchasing, Production, and Logistics to deliver an exceptional customer experience. Keep customers informed regarding pricing, availability, lead times, materials, and project status. Use NetSuite to maintain accurate customer, quote, sales order, opportunity, and follow up information. Maintain accurate sales activity and customer records to support forecasting, operational execution, and customer service. Own the sales process. Do not simply send quotes. Follow them, understand the customer's decision process, overcome obstacles, and ask for the business. WHO THRIVES HERE Competitive and motivated by commission and measurable results. Comfortable talking with customers, negotiating, and asking for the sale. Persistent without being pushy. Fast paced while remaining highly accurate. Skilled at pricing, quoting, negotiating, or selling products and services. Naturally curious and willing to learn technical products. Organized enough to manage multiple quotes, customers, and follow ups simultaneously. Comfortable working within an ERP or CRM environment. NetSuite experience is highly preferred. Someone who takes ownership rather than waiting to be told what to do next. INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE THAT CAN TRANSLATE WELL Steel or metal building experience is valuable, but it is not the only path to success. We are interested in strong sales professionals from industries such as: Building Materials | Roofing | Construction Supply | HVAC | Electrical Supply | Plumbing Supply | Industrial Distribution | Manufacturing | Equipment Rental | Automotive Parts | Logistics | Wholesale Distribution | Metal or Steel Products Experience using NetSuite or another ERP or CRM platform for quoting, order management, customer management, or sales tracking is a strong plus. If you understand B2B sales, quoting, margins, customer urgency, and the importance of follow up , we can teach you our products and processes.
