Overview
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department in Utica, NY. Travel assignment starting 10/26/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range $2,473–$2,537 with 36 guaranteed hours per week. Shift: 12-hour evening coverage in an ED/unit within an acute care setting.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the ED, including triage, rapid assessment, stabilization, and ongoing monitoring of adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients; initiate ED protocols such as stroke alert, sepsis bundles, and trauma activation as indicated.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and procedural support per orders; manage vasopressor drips, antiarrhythmics, sedatives, analgesics, and other ED-related therapies; monitor hemodynamics and adjust care as indicated.
- Assist with resuscitation and life-saving interventions in code scenarios; support airway management and coordination with respiratory therapy and procurement of necessary equipment.
- Document in EPIC with timely charting of vitals, treatments, orders, and patient responses; provide clear, concise handoffs to subsequent care teams.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, radiology, and ancillary staff to coordinate care, implement care plans, and support discharge planning and patient education.
- Monitor safety, infection control, and ED throughput; respond to high-acuity events such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, and respiratory failure with appropriate escalation.

Requirements
- Active New York RN license verified via Nursys (ACTIVE NY License)
- A minimum of 2+ years ED experience with some pediatric exposure; travel experience is required
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC (American Heart Association)
- EPIC EMR experience
- Driver’s license with address that matches demographics
- RTO (return-to-work/return-to-organization) must be included at time of submission
