New Business Development Representative – Commercial/Industrial HVAC & Mechanical Services Cox-Powell Corporation | Williamsburg, VA | Full-Time Cox-Powell Corporation has served Central and Southeast Virginia as a mechanical and electrical contractor since 1946. We're looking for a driven, business-to-business sales professional to grow our commercial and industrial customer base across the Hampton Roads and Richmond markets. This is a hunter role. You'll identify and win new commercial/industrial accounts, sell maintenance agreements, and open the door to mechanical projects, controls, and energy solutions across our full-service line. Job Description Prospect and qualify new commercial and industrial accounts using company-provided tools and processes Present Cox-Powell's capabilities and value proposition to decision-makers Sell new preventive maintenance agreements and grow the company's recurring maintenance base Identify opportunities across our full-service portfolio: HVAC/R, electrical, air distribution system cleaning, air balance, thermography, controls, energy solutions, and indoor air quality Build and price proposals using company pricing tools, meeting assigned gross profit targets Identify and pursue new market segments and expansion within existing markets Cross-sell additional Cox-Powell capabilities into existing accounts Build long-term customer relationships, ensuring renewal of agreements and repeat business Loop in Sales Team and Operations colleagues as needed to properly scope and deliver for customers Flag major account issues to the Service Manager proactively Requirements Proven B2B sales experience, ideally with maintenance agreement or service-contract sales Strong prospecting, presentation, and proposal-writing skills Ability to build relationships with facility managers, plant managers, and other decision-makers Self-starter who can manage a pipeline independently while collaborating with a team HVAC/mechanical industry experience is a plus, but not required — we'll train the technical side Why Cox-Powell 80 years of regional reputation and repeat business to sell into Full-service capability (HVAC, electrical, controls, energy, IAQ) Support from an established Sales and Operations team, not a solo effort #J-18808-Ljbffr Cox-Powell
