At Puttery, every visit is a reason to celebrate.Job PurposeThe Server plays a key role in creating memorable guest experiences by delivering attentive, professional, and engaging food and beverage service. Servers are responsible for providing accurate order execution, offering thoughtful menu recommendations, and maintaining strong knowledge of all food, beverage, and venue offerings. This role requires a strong sense of hospitality, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the highest standards of service and professionalism.ResponsibilitiesPrimary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Provide warm, attentive service to all guests and create an engaging dining experienceWelcome guests within two minutes of seating and check back within two minutes after delivering food or beveragesDemonstrate strong knowledge of all menu items including food, liquor, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beveragesMake recommendations and actively sell menu items to enhance the guest experienceAccurately enter orders into the point-of-sale system and process various forms of payment correctlyMaintain complete knowledge of service procedures, food and beverage offerings, and operational standardsSuccessfully pass required training and testing related to service standards, alcohol awareness, food safety, and POS systems before working independent shiftsServe multiple tables efficiently, typically managing 15–25 guests at a timeMaintain assigned side work and support the cleanliness and organization of the restaurant and service areasWork collaboratively with bar, kitchen, and support staff to ensure smooth operations and timely serviceVerify guest identification to ensure legal drinking age and follow all alcohol service regulationsMonitor alcohol consumption and refuse service in a professional and responsible manner when necessaryMaintain professional appearance and adhere to grooming and uniform standardsFollow all health department guidelines, sanitation procedures, and workplace safety practicesPerform additional duties as directed by management, training materials, or operational checklistsQualificationsQualifications include:Must be 21 years of age or olderPrevious restaurant serving experience preferred, particularly in high-volume or upscale environmentsStrong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on hospitalityAbility to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environmentBasic math skills and the ability to handle cash and payment transactions accuratelyBasic reading, writing, and computer skillsFamiliarity with POS systems and restaurant service standards preferredProfessional appearance, reliability, and strong attention to detailAbility to work effectively within a team environmentHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredWorking ConditionsWorking conditions include:Fast-paced, guest-facing hospitality environmentRequires standing and walking for extended periods throughout the shiftFrequent reaching, bending, lifting, carrying, and stoopingAbility to lift and carry up to 35 poundsExposure to common restaurant risks including slips, cuts, burns, and hot surfacesFrequent hand washing and adherence to health department sanitation guidelinesEvening, weekend, and holiday availability required to support business operationsPuttery is committed to equal opportunity in the workplace, preventing discrimination and harassment, including sexual misconduct, based on legally protected diversity characteristics (such as race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, family status, citizenship, genetic information and veteran status) in its application and hiring processes and in its employment decisions.
