Job Type: Full-Time and Part-Time 1st, 2nd, 3rd shifts available Location: Medina, Ohio Position Summary Are you looking for a way to positively impact your local community? Intervention for Peace is a family owned business that caters to the staff and individuals we serve. Our schedules are flexible to accommodate the busy lives of parents, college students, retirees, etc.! Direct Support Professionals are compassionate, caring and dependable individuals who are interested in helping others maintain their independence. No prior experience is needed; we provide all necessary and ongoing training! Direct Support Staff must be willing and able to: Always ensure the safety and well-being of the individuals Assist, teach and/or complete everyday life skills such as: meal preparation, simple household tasks Accompany individuals to various medical and community‑based appointments Provide specialized care that promotes increased opportunities for active participation in the community and an enhanced quality of life Accompany individuals to recreation based activities and outings Minimum Qualifications and Requirements Eighteen (18) years of age. A valid Ohio Driver’s License with no more than 5 points and maintains a driving record in accordance with Agency policy. Current and valid auto insurance. High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
