Paralegal (Insurance Defense Litigation)

KSLN is looking for a talented Paralegal to join our Insurance Defense team. We are currently seeking qualified candidates for our Buffalo, NY office. This position will focus mainly on insurance defense supporting our NYC office. This flexible hybrid role allows for remote and in-office work. We are looking for a self-starter with critical thinking skills, the ability to work independently, a solid understanding of the legal field, and strong communication skills with keen attention to detail. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding organizational skills, a strong work ethic, be detail-oriented, and deadline-driven.Salary Range:$50,000 - $60,000/annually. What You’ll Do Assist attorneys with all phases of insurance defense litigation Manage and organize case files, pleadings, discovery, and correspondence Assist with drafting and responding to discovery Coordinate independent medical examinations and hearings Review and organize medical records, claim files, and other documents Prepare deposition and trial materials Communicate with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, courts, and other professionals Track deadlines and ensure case-related tasks stay on schedule Provide day-to-day litigation support to attorneys and the broader defense team What We’re Looking For 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience; insurance defense experience strongly preferred Strong understanding of the litigation process Excellent organizational and time-management skills Exceptional attention to detail Ability to manage multiple cases and competing deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case-management technology Professionalism, sound judgment, and a team-oriented approach Why KSLN?
