Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery

Labor and Delivery NurseProvides specialized nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit. Utilizes clinical expertise to deliver safe, compassionate, and individualized care to obstetric patients and their newborns, demonstrating age-specific competencies and adhering to hospital protocols.Responsibilities:Assess patients’ obstetric status and develop personalized care plans using the nursing process.Implement and monitor appropriate interventions to promote healthy labor and delivery outcomes.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and support patient education.Supervise and guide less experienced staff, including licensed vocational nurses and nursing assistants, to ensure quality care.Document patient progress accurately and maintain compliance with all clinical and safety standards.Respond swiftly to obstetric emergencies and provide critical support during labor and postpartum phases.Qualifications:Hold a valid California State Registered Nurse license.Possess current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications.Demonstrate at least 2 years of obstetric nursing experience.Be able to work a night shift, 3×12-hour shifts, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.Be available for on-call duties as needed, with no weekend requirement.Have excellent communication and teamwork skills with references documented within the last year.Benefits & Growth:Access to ongoing professional development and specialized training in obstetric nursing.Opportunity to work in a dynamic, supportive environment with a focus on maternal and newborn care.Benefits:Day 1 Medical, Dental, and Vision insuranceTravel reimbursement for assignmentsPaid sick leave and additional valuable benefitsAccess to our $1,000 Inspire a Friend Referral ProgramWhy TactStaff?Choosing TactStaff means partnering with a team that understands the unique demands and rewards of Labor and Delivery.
